In the Premiership, Jeffery Schlupp played 79 minutes as Leicester City played a 0-0 home draw with Sunderland on Saturday.

 

In the Championship, Albert Adomah played the entire game as Middlesbrough drew 1-1 away with Wigan Athletic. Adomah was yellow-carded in the 63rd minute on Saturday.

 

Italy

In the Serie A, Richmond Boakye Yiadom came on in the 75th minute as was red-carded in the 95th minute as Atalanta lost 1-2 at home to AS Roma on Saturday.

Afriyie Acquah played the entire game as bottom Parma lost 0-2 at home to Empoli on Sunday. He was shown a yellow card in the 57th minute.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played 70 minutes as Udinese drew 1-1 at home with Isaac Cofie’s Chievo on Sunday. Cofie came on in the 87th minute.

Michael Essien played the entire game, Sulley Muntari played 76 minutes as AC Milan drew 1-1 at home with Internazionale in the Milan derby on Sunday. Isaac Donkor was an unused sub for Inter.

 

France

In the Ligue 1, Jordan Ayew (90 mins) provided the assist for the winner as Lorient beat 10-man Lens 1-0 at home. Ayew was yellow-carded in the 76th minute on Saturday.

 

Germany

In the Bundesliga, Kevin-Prince Boateng played the entire game and provided the assist for the second goal as Schalke 04 beat Wolfsburg 3-2 at home on Saturday.

Abdul Baba Rahman played the entire game as Augsburg went away to beat 10-man bottom Stuttgart 1-0 on Sunday.

 

Belgium

In the Pro League, Frank Acheampong played the entire game as Anderlecht lost 1-3 away to Sporting Charleroi on Saturday, as they gave up the top spot on the Belgium Pro League Table.

 

Nana Asare played the entire game as Gent beat Cercle Brugge 4-0 at home on Saturday.

 

Denmark

In the Superliga, Daniel Amartey came on in the 92nd minute as FC København beat bottom Silkeborg 1-0 at home on Saturday.

 

Egypt

In the Premier League, John Antwi scored the equaliser to earn his side a point as Ismaily went away to draw 1-1 with Al Ittihad on Saturday.

 

Romania

In the Liga I, Sadat Bukari played 89 minutes and was replaced by Seidu Yahaya, but not before he scored a goal to earn 9-man Astra a 1-0 home win over Universitatea Cluj on Saturday.

 

South Africa
In the PSL, John Paintsil played the entire game, Mohammed Anas came on in the 65th minute as 10-man Maritzburg United drew 0-0 away with Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.

 

Switzerland

In the Super League, Ishmael Yartey came on in the 76th minute as FC Sion lost 1-3 at home to FC Zürich on Saturday.

Samuel Afum played 83 minutes as Young Boys went away to beat Thun 1-0 on Sunday.

 

Turkey

John Boye played the entire game as Kayseri Erciyesspor lost 1-2 away to Eskisehirspor on Sunday.

Ghanaian Players Abroad – 7-9 November, 2014: Acheampong shines for Anderlecht, Otoo’s Sogndal relegated

Frank Acheampong provided two assists to ensure Belgium Pro League leaders Anderlecht extended their stay atop the table. Not too good news for Afriyie Acquah and Mahatma Otoo. Afriyie played in a game where his Parma side lost by seven goals to a Kwadwo Asamoah-less Juventus. And for Mahatma, his Sogndal side was relegated from the Norwegian Eliteserien.

Afriyie Acquah was on the losing side as Parma were thrashed away at Juventus 7-0. He was yellow-carded in the 73rd minute on Sunday. Kwadwo Asamoah did not feature as he was out with an injury.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played the entire game as Udinese drew 1-1 away with Palermo on Sunday. He was yellow-carded in the 16th minute.

Another week of action which saw Ghanaians see some playtime. Kwadwo Asamoah helped Juventus to a win in the UEFA Champions League. Enock Kofi Adu and his side, Swedish Champions, Malmö FF lost while Frank Acheampong’s Anderlecht drew.

Monday, November 3.

Sulley Muniru came on in the 74th minute as CFR Cluj lost 1-2 at home to Brasov.

Emmanuel Frimpong played 88 minutes as 10-man Ufa lost 0-1 away at Terek Grozny. He was yellow-carded in the 79th minute.

 

Tuesdays, November 4.

Albert Adomah played 49 minutes as Middlesbrough hosted and beat Norwich City 4-0.

Enock Kofi Adu played the entire game as Swedish Champions Malmö FF lost 0-2 at home to Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

Kwadwo Asamoah played 88 minutes as Juventus beat Olympiakos Piraeus 3-1 at home in the UEFA Champions League.

Frank Acheampong played the entire game as Anderlecht went away to draw 3-3 with Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.

 

Wednesday, November 5.

Kevin-Prince Boateng came on in the 65th minute as Schalke 04 went away and lost 2-4 to Sporting CP in the UEFA Champions League.

John Paintsil and Mohammed Awal both played the entire game, Mohammed Anas came on in the 60th minute as Maritzburg United played a 0-0 home draw with Bloemfontein Celtic. Paintsil was yellow-carded in the 13th minute.

 

Thursday, November 6.

Gideon Baah (90 mins) scored the first goal, Anthony Annan played the entire game as HJK Helsinki hosted and beat Torio 2-1 in the Europa Cup. Annan was yellow-carded in the 95th minute.

Daniel Amartey played the first 45 minutes as FC København lost 0-4 at home to Club Brugge in the Europa Cup.

Sadat Bukari played the entire game, Seidu Yahaya played 81 minutes as Astra drew 1-1 at home with Mubarak Wakaso’s (81 mins) Celtic in the Europa Cup. Bukari was yellow carded in the 91st minute, Yahaya in the 66th minute.

Samuel Afum came on in the 68th minute as Young Boys went away and lost 0-3 to Napoli in the Europa Cup.

Alhassan Wakaso played the entire game as Rio Ave drew 2-2 at home with Steaua Bucuresti in the Europa Cup. He was yellow-carded 41st minute. Emmanuel Okyere Boateng was an unused sub for the hosts.

Abdul Majeed Waris scored his first ever goal for Trabzonspor as they went away to draw 1-1 with Lokeren in the Europa Cup.

John Antwi was a two-goal hero as Ismaily beat Wadi Degla 2-1 at home.
